Originally from Argentina, I did my undergraduate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, conducting research on light mediated dearomatization of arenes with Prof. David Sarlah. I subsequently joined Dr. Amy Newman’s lab at the National Institute for Drug Abuse (NIDA/NIH) to make ligands which help elucidate the function of individual dopamine receptors. I then joined the Donohoe lab working in conjunction with Dr. Newman’s lab to use the development of hydrogen borrowing methodologies to access new dopaminergic scaffolds. Outside the lab I enjoy prematurely bragging about my currently invisible gym gainz, starting more books than I could realistically finish, and flirting with the line between health and diabetes by compulsively stuffing my mouth with the delightful fruits of British bakeries.
