I graduated with a First Class Honours from the University of Bristol where I carried out my Master's project under the supervision of Professor John Bower working towards the total synthesis of cytochalasin natural products. In addition, I carried out an industrial placement after my third year at AstraZeneca, Cambridge working in drug discovery. I moved to Oxford in 2018 where I joined the Synthesis for Biology and Medicine CDT. In my first year I worked in the Anderson group focusing on cycloisomerisation reactions and then in the Donohoe group. I have carried on my second rotation working on the stereoselective synthesis of hetereocycles through cation triggered annulation for my DPhil. Outside of the lab I enjoy going to gigs, watching athletics and playing hockey.
